John Crossby said, “Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction”. The mentorship program adopted in the school is a challenging one, but not without learning between mentors and their mentees. A mentor’s awareness of the child”s abilities, interests, strengths, and weaknesses provides a backbone for the children to come out of their comfort zone. It helps in maintaining mutual respect, trust, and understanding throughout the mentoring process, and it also contributes to a mentee’s overall development, which in turn helps the mentor to reflect on one’s own career and discover new ways of thinking.
